The article discusses the recent decisions of the US Supreme Court with reference to mail-in balloting, addressing the extension beyond Election Day of the deadline for the receipt of votes cast by absentee voters granted by State legislation and questioning the commitment of the federal judiciary to protect the right to vote of absentee voters vis-à-vis the sweeping Presidential acts aimed at curtailing this voting procedure.
