Abstract

Abstract: Women’s Rights. From the Missing Revolution to the Unfinished Revolution. And Now? – On the question of women's rights, the credibility of constitutional democracy and its principles is at stake, starting with those of equality and freedom, around which the Western identity was built. If the Declaration of Rights at the end of the XVIII century did not change the millennial subordination of women, not even the Post-war constitutionalism and the renewal of international law, in the XX century, was able to transform the reality of power relationship among sexes. In the XXI century, the equality principle still wait to be implemented: for this purpose, a new awareness and activism of women themselves is necessary.
