The essay examines the evolutionary trajectory of the constitutional history of Nuevo Leon. In particular, the various stages of the country’s constitutional transition are analyzed, highlighting the progress made by the Constitutions of 1825, 1849, 1857, 1874, 1917 in matter of form of government, territorial articulation of power and protection of fundamental rights.
