President Biden and The Congress

The article illustrates the political composition of the 118th U.S. Congress and it discusses to what extent it has influenced the second half of President Biden’s term. The inability of the Republican party to smoothly elect the Speaker and its unprecedented removal are addressed. The article provides also data on the use of executive orders, proclamations, signing statements and the development of the federal workforce over the second half of the first and only term of President Biden.
