Abstract

The contribution makes some introductory considerations on ‘The new perspectives of participatory democracy and the integration of vulnerable groups’, to which the current special section of DPCE online is dedicated. The main doctrinal characteristics of participatory democracy are outlined and its potential and limits are taken into account, also on the basis of practical examples, which will then be treated in detail by the contributions of the section.
