The papers of the fourth parallel session of the Conference “Il costituzionalismo ambientale tra antropocentrismo e biocentrismo. Nuove prospettive dal diritto comparato” operate a critical reflection regarding the new frontiers of environmental constitutionalism, comparing different constitutional systems in their normative, jurisprudential, theoretical and cultural peculiarities. The set of contributions examines the challenges of environmental protection and Nature conservation in the diversity of models that support the expansion of multilevel environmental constitutionalism. One set of papers focuses on environmental protection and Nature rights in constitutional normativity and constitutional court decisions, in a dialogue between Europe and South America; another investigates animal protection and rights, focusing on constitutional-legislative formants. Finally, two papers analyze the dialogue of constitutional comparison with the philosophy and religious traditions of the East and North Africa.
