An “executive” monarchy. The evolution of the Jordanian form of government in light of the constitutional amendments of 2022 – The essay traces the main constitutional reforms of the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan, underlining how, over the years, the legal system has been characterized by a progressive expansion of royal prerogatives to the detriment of other powers. Through an analysis of the constitutional amendments of 2022, and in full continuity with the trajectory already undertaken in 2014 and 2016, it is possible to assume that the "parliamentary monarchy", sanctioned by the 1952 Constitution, has by now been fully replaced by a regressive model of " executive monarchy".
