Abstract: Chile 2021: A Constitution for the XXI Century – The article questions the meaning of writing a constitution in the 21st century, as globalization, by weakening State sovereignty, has also reduced the impact of the constitution on the life of a political community. However, it concludes that the constitution still matters, at least on two levels: the domestic one, where it plays the role of integrating pluralism, and the international one, where it helps to define the constitutional identity through which the State contributes to the global constitutionalism.
