The present study analizes whether there were direct foreign influences on the 1924 Constitution or not. To this end, firstly, it focuses on the westernization movement discussing its indirect effects on the 1924 Constitution in the context of law reform. While examining foreign influences on the 1924 Constitution, apart from the foreign influences that may have directly inspired the Constitution, the reception of other the basic laws is analysed.
