Abstract

following research paper aims to explain the tackling of the criminal statute of limitations in Chile, regarding both the prescription of criminal action and its punishment. In this essay, the doctrinal debates, as well as the jurisprudential positions on various critical points of the legal status of the criminal prescription, will be presented.
