Comparatists strongly feel the need for interdisciplinary dialogue, and this perspective can also be confirmed with reference to the climate issue, where there is a need to improve the approach to the relationship between scientific knowledge and institutional responses. In environmental constitutionalism, the protection of the environment has been considered in relation to subjects, through the classical route of affirming rights and imposing duties. The tendency to consider respect for nature as a collective duty seems to find greater consideration in the geographical areas of the Global South, where the common bond gathers consensus in the social context. In the constitutional systems of our time, improving the 'quality of life' of citizens also requires respect for the environment, a condition that stands as a measure of rights.
