Abstract

French Semi-Presidentialism and the role of Parliament: from attempts to revalue the parliamentary institution to the latest issues in the context of the party system transformation - The French Parliament of the Fifth Republic remained divided between the tendency to its revaluation and a parliamentary political practice that - in a context of the form of government presidentialisation - has relegated the Parliament (with some exceptions) to a registration chamber of Executive decisions. The recent transformation of the party system has introduced elements of complexity that lead us to reflect on the role of Parliament.
