Abstract

Independence of central banks and the new declination o f the ir role and interventions to face the recent systemic economic crises The essay includes a comparative analysis about the Central Banks as Independent Authorities. After a general introduction about the theoretical foundations of the principle of C. B. I.I., the analysis will be focused on a comparison between the models of implementation of the principle of Central Bank Independence since the Great Moderation to the Great Financial Crisis and the present Great Recession. The central iss ue of the Study a re the effects on the principle of C.B.I. produced by the great transformations involving the role, the monetary policies and the other functions undertaken by Central Banks during the last decade, as a conseq ue nce of the great financial crisis begun in 20 07 2008.
