The paper aims to offer a picture about the increasing role of the world economic organizations (integrating the notion of global economic governance) as fundamental policy makers as well as in the developments of a process of international and transnational standards setting. A fundamental role that has grown up in recent times, since the Great Financial Crisis, and lastly the Pandemic emergency COVID-19 have made it necessary to provide for an international and supernational, coordinated response to the crisis.
