Il caso del terzo pacchetto di aiuti finanziari alla Grecia e le asimmetrie nei poteri costituzionali dei Parlamenti nazionali
The role of the National Parliaments of the Eurozone Countries in the third rescue package to Greece
Abstract
The paper examines the role of the national parliaments of Eurozone countries on the third rescue package to Greece considering their asymmetric position in the decision to grant financial assistance. The Author analyzes these contentious issues retracing the genesis and the adoption of the third rescue package to Greece as a case study. The author further outlines how it came for the United Kingdom (and its Parliament) to become the center of the discussion despite being outside the Euro area. Finally the article looks in depth at the ex ante and ex post authorization given by some Eurozone parliaments to the negotiation and to the rescue deal, respectively, in the summer of 2015.
