Language and law in the Nepalese constitution of 20 September 2015: ‘non-contrasting diversity’ and the multicultural state

Abstract

The essay analyzes the relationship between national languages and law in the 2015 Nepalese Constitution, in order to reveal that the historic, cultural, linguistic and political plot – who comes before the dogmatic construction of law – is nothing else that the background from which emerges the Nepalese State-Nation.
