The essay, starting by the J-F. Lyotard’s logic of postmodernity and paradox, claims about the ability of non-occidentals democratic models to ensure institutional order in revolutionary contexts. From a diachronic comparison of Naxality revolutionary movements in India, the article highlights that argue about violence in a democracy is not a logical contradiction, but a realization of the “Institutional tragic optimism”.
