Algorithms as decision-makers in the fight against online terrorism. Some considerations stemming from Regulation (EU) 2021/784 – Regulation (EU) 2021/784 mandates hosting service providers to promptly remove terrorist contents upon request by competent national authorities. While the Regulation addresses the crucial need to fight online terrorism, it raises significant concerns regarding the balance between security and human rights.
