Humanitarian drones in emergency contexts: the Ukrainian case from a comparative perspective – The article explores the use of new technologies in current war contexts, focusing on the so-called humanitarian drones in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Through the analysis of this recent case study from a comparative perspective, the paper highlights not only the opportunities offered by humanitarian drones in terms of the protection of rights, but also the potential risks in terms of data protection and privacy, compliance with the principles of transparency and accountability in decision-making processes characterised by a close public-private partnership.
