Relaunching the economy: a cautious proposal (perhaps even too cautious)

Abstract

The paper analyzes the most relevant policies that are proposed to establish new perspectives for the U.K. economy. The critics against policies that have been carried out by the Conservatives Cabinets, especially in the most recent years suggest the need to find different paths. The New Economy is the key reference to implement growth, both in terms of the implementation of national production and in terms of creating the conditions to overcome the relevant hurdle to development which is the inequality between territories. Focusing on territorial clusters of development, the different territories can contribute to the country’s development.
