Abstract

«Era un gioco, non era un fuoco». An analysis of the Chilean constituent process in the light of the outcome of the plebiscite of the 4th of September 2022 - The article carries out an analysis of the outcome of the Chilean constitutional plebiscite of the 4th of September 2022, proposing some reflections both on the procedural limits of the constitutional revision which allowed the whole process; and on the content of the new constitutional draft, that by many commentators has been considered too ideological. In fact, many of the innovative principles introduced in the text have probably determined the reactions of dissatisfaction from the people and the choice in favor of the “rechazo” as a selfprotection measure for many traditional social classes.
