Il primo impatto sui diritti sociali dell’emergenza Covid19 in Europa e la risposta delle istituzioni sovranazionali
Abstract
The early impact on social rights of the Covid-19 emergency in Europe and the response of supranational institutions – The paper aims to address the early, and harsher, impact of the Covid-19 virus emergency on specific social categories and the dramatic consequences on the welfare state in the European continent. As a matter of fact the growing social need for more welfare state corresponds to a major economic crisis which jeopardizes its actual sustainability. After a social analysis of the most vulnerable subjects, the paper focuses on the response to the virus outbreak of the supranational institutions, notably the European Union, which has taken measures that might lead to an essential change in the EU economic governance and monetary policy.
