UNESCO-EU cooperation: contents and institutional aspects

Abstract

The article explores the UNESCO-EU cooperation, with regard to both material contents and institutional aspects. After some preliminary considerations, this work analyzes the participation of each organization in the works of the other, also focusing on two specific aspects. On the one hand, the EU accession to the UNESCO conventions and, on the other hand, the EU financial support to UNESCO projects. Below, it will be paid attention to some EU actions in favor of culture, considered as expressions of the partnership with UNESCO. Some final considerations take a peek into the future of the UNESCO-EU cooperation.
