The paper aims to illustrate and analyse the contents of Section 1 - Chapter 4 of the Report of the Commission on the UK’s future. Common values, identities and goals characterise the United Kingdom despite its many divisions. On the basis of these features it is possible to create a new Britain, to rebuild public trust in central institutions and to listen to that “hunger for change” emerging in the country: in order to that, according to the Labour, a programme of constitutional reform in England is an early recommendation.
