A specific and closely related issue to the broad topic of environmental constitutionalism is food security, which is very relevant in the comparative framework, as far as the "intergenerational vocation" is concerned. That is also due to the "Farm to Fork" strategy, an integral part of the European Green Deal, one of whose goals is precisely food security.
This paper briefly traces the stages of the affirmation of the right to food security and then examines some cases (Hungary and Switzerland) in which constitutional revision processes have been concluded to supplement fundamental texts with specific provisions on the subject.
