Abstract
The article examines the salient features of the Mongolian constitutional system, with particular reference to its form of government. The various phases of Mongolia's constitutional transition are reconstructed, and a brief overview of the country's key features is provided in light of the 1992 Constitution and its subsequent amendments. Special attention is given to analyzing the fundamental structures of the form of government and its evolution over time. Finally, some general considerations are made regarding the possible evolution of the Mongolian institutional framework, also in light of the recent political tensions affecting this young democracy.
