L’allargamento BRICS tra multilateralismo e multicentrismo

Abstract

BRICS enlargement between multilateralism and multicentrism - The recent enlargement of the BRICS group signals a dynamic of change at the international level. Since the BRICS do not have an institutionalised cooperation mechanism, it is interesting to analyse what kind of repercussions their model of decision-making might have on the future aspect of the international system, especially with reference to their impact on the current global governance framework. This essay tryes to analyse these dynamics in an attempt to understand the extent to which BRICS plays an effective role in the creation of an alternative international political order to the existing liberal one.
