Composition of Constitutional Courts and development tools for an intercultural hermeneutics in Bolivia and Ecuador – This essay takes as its starting point the complex question of the legitimacy of constitutional courts in Latin American legal systems that share the values and principles of the nuevo constitucionalismo andino. Therefore, a reflection is proposed on two specific experiences, the Bolivian, and the Ecuadorian, which have affirmed legal pluralism in their respective Constitutions. In both systems, the analysis will focus on the procedures for the selection of constitutional judges and on the provision of specific procedural actions that offer a forum for dialogue between ordinary and indigenous jurisdiction.
Keywords: Intercultural dialogue; Indigenous justice; Legal pluralism; Selection of constitutional judges.
