In the context of war, people with disabilities need different and additional safeguards than those typically provided. The aim of this contribution is to provide a detailed framework for such safeguards, assuming that people with disabilities do not constitute a homogeneous group and that, consequently, the safeguard of each of them passes through support and recovery calibrated to the specificities of the individual. The legal basis for these safeguards can certainly be found in the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2475-2019 and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
