Abstract

Abstract: Escape from contract in search of sustainability - In the sphere of civil law, in order to meet with exceptional circumstances and resolve issues of injustice in contractual relations in times of pandemic, the various legal experiences have mainly resorted to the rules on “supervening events” on a contract to save economic interests and the market. To the general question on the future of contract law, on the other hand, the answers have even taken on different nuances, witnessing a new wave of solidarity. Well, the use of the broader figure of the sustainable contract better allows us to escape from traditional schemes, which are incapable of taking a vision of the future in an economy that continues to follow an unsustainable growth model.
