La gestione dell’emergenza sanitaria Covid-19 come osservatorio delle dinamiche politico-costituzionali in Iran
The response to the Covid-19 health emergency as an observatory of the politico-constitutional dynamics in Iran
Abstract
The paper addresses the Iranian state authorities’ legal response to the health emergency related to Covid-19 pandemic as an observatory of the tensions that have been affecting, for some time now, the relationship not only between the civil society and the State, but also between the main constitutional bodies. In particular, the critical issues concerning state authorities’ response can be read in relation to some hybrid features of the Iranian “constitutional theocracy”, with regard to both its original institutional framework and the role of religion as an instrument of political legitimation and a parameter of legitimacy.
