Abstract

European pressures and State uncertainties in administrative simplification: the difficult balance between speed and guarantee – The article aims to illustrate the genesis and development of the principle of administrative simplification in Italy, with a careful look at the European context: it is not possible to address this issue without considering the important contribution that the European Union has made in its statement, which it considers essential for the establishment of the European internal market. However, while European law has strongly encouraged the development of the principle of administrative simplification, the national legislator has not always been able to carry out systematic reforms, leaving unsolved several critical issues that the difficult historical moment we are experiencing has suddenly brought to the fore.
