MPs’ integrity has always been a content of rules providing their status, but only in the last years Parliaments have begun to collect these rules in specific, separated acts that have the typical feature of self-regulation. What does it means in terms of efficiency and justiciability? Has this trend only a political value or also a legal value? A comparative analysis on the ethical rules for MPs in OSCE’s and in the Council of Europe’s countries can help to understand the role of such a rules both from a political and from a legal per-spective.
