The Bundesverfassungsgericht as judge of the electoral disputes and the possible influence of the German system of electoral justice over the Italian constitutional order – A debate on the need to modify the system of electoral justice, in particular for the parliamentary elections, exists in the Italian debate. In this perspective, an influence, both at academic and at political level, is apparently played by the German constitutional system. Consequently, a deep analysis of the German system of electoral justice is useful to understand if and how the German experience can represent a source of inspiration for an amendment of the Italian system of electoral justice.
