Domination, inequality and disrespect are three calamities that are present in the current liberal democracies that, in addition, are threatened by the growing verve of the far right who disputes its hegemony. In this context, this work defenses the principles of republicanism but from a double point of view. On the one hand, the ideals of a critical and intercultural republicanism are recovered; on the other hand, those of transmodern republicanism. Finally, the paths of convergence between them are examined in the framework of a decolonial context.
Keywords: Republicanism; Critical Republicanism; Transmodern Republicanism.
