Abstract

The article aims to Analyze the Situation of the crime of descato (contempt) in Brazilian legislation from the perspective of dialogue with the Latin American reality, mainly in the light of the precedents of the ínter-American Human Rights System and the consequent control of conventionality. Thus, through Bibliographic review, Comparative analysis of regional legislation, and Studies of international Jurisprudence, we Seek to demonstrate in what sense the States in Latin America have Moved concerning the Progressive Suppression of the criminal types of contempt.
