Abstract

There is a change in democracies in "Bubble democracies". The algorithms generate a "filter bubble" that selects the data collected on the network to filter the information that satisfies the taste of the individual user. The effect is that of a polarization of opinions, which undermines the government for discussion. We intend to propose the study in a comparative key on the effects of the filter bubble on referendum consultations in the case of the constitutional referendum of the Russian Federation and the Italian constitutional referendum on the reduction of the number of parliamentarians, to verify whether the antidote is democratic and pluralist participation in the desired sense by Alessandro Pizzorusso.
